Dr. Jeff Michael
Originally a native of MD, Dr. Jeff is a graduate of Indiana Universtity of Pennsylvania. He continued his education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in IA, earning a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. After graduation Dr. Michael worked with Dr. Bouma and Dr. Brown in PA, who have over 50 years combined experience in private practice.
Dr. Michael believes that the body can heal and maintain itself as long as one's body is performing at its optimal potential. Aside from loved ones, his patient's health is his main concern, and he will do everything in his power to help.
The body is in constant motion and is in a continual state of degradation and regeneration.
Day in and day out we are exposed to the environment which has a negative effect on the body.
Spinal misalignment or "subluxation" can be caused by three unavoidable problems.
- Trauma- This is the most common reason why people come to the chiropractor. Slip and falls, athletic injuries, or even something as simple as bending over and picking up a pen. Trauma causes skeletal misalignment and if not corrected can cause prolonged or chronic pain.
- Toxins- This is probably the most over looked aspect of everyone's life. The food we eat and the choices we make play a huge aspect in our health. Certain foods can reek havoc on the bodies inflammatory response, sugar levels, and tissue damage. Things that we see and eat everyday are breaking down the body and putting the body in a constant state of inflammation, which leads to an amazing amount of health issues.
- Thoughts- Emotional stress expresses it self physically. The body can express this stress as ulcers, muscle pain, headaches, etc... the mind is a powerful thing. Make sure its happy!
Chiropractic works by allowing the nervous system to express itself at its optimal potential. Do not allow yourself to evolve into the typical unhealthy individual. Take care, you only have one chance!
